Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Length: Articles should be between 2500 and 6000 words in length.


Format: Article files should be in Microsoft Word format, Rich Text Format and WordPerfect also accepted.


Title: Concise and informative  (12 pt, Cambria, Bold, Centered, Uppercase)


Running Title: 50 characters with spaces


Abstract: The abstract must include the purpose, design/methodology/approach, results and originatilty of the paper. Should not contain any undefined abbreviations and unspecified references. (8 pt, Cambria Italic, Justified, Max. 300 words.)


Key words: 8 pt, Cambria, Justified, 3-6 words


JEL Codes: 8 pt, Cambria, Justified, 2-5 codes


Names and Surnames of the authors: 10 pt Cambria


Institution of the authors:  8 pt Cambria


Authors’ biographies: A short (maximum 100 words) biography of each author, including current main title and affiliation should be provided. 


Title of the sections: 10 pt, Cambria, Bold, Centered


Main text: 1.5-spaced, 10 pt, Cambria, Justified


Abbreviations and Acronyms: Abbreviations should be explained at first used of the term and used consistently thereafter 


Tables: Tables should be numbered using Arab numerals, prepared without using vertical lines. All colums should be right align. Any flag must be lower-case letters and included beneath the table body. In the text, references to tables should be as  Table 1.


Figures: Figures should be numbered using Arab numerals. Title of the figures should be above the figures. The titles must be in Cambria, 8 pt and bold. Sources must be placed underneath the figures. The figures should have white backgroud. In the text, references to figures should be as  Fig. 1.


Footnotes:  Should be placed just before the references. (8 pt, Cambria)


Acknowledgements: Place the text of your acknowledgments after References. (8 pt, Cambria)


References: All references must be listed in alphabetical order, following the guidelines of the APA formatting and placed after the main text the article. All publications should be carefully checked for accuracy and completeness.


Reference mark in the text should be cited as follows:


(Zeren, 2014); (Bozoklu and Yilanci, 2014),  (Yilanci et al., 2014)
